Graunt works alongside senior executives in banking, wealth management, investments and telecommunications. He is a business leader who creates sustainable solutions to social justice challenges. His academic and commercial backgrounds merge innovation in technology, finance and banking for financial inclusion, job creation and asset building.
Graunt previously headed up Standard Banks’ enterprise development division and its cell phone banking unit and was a senior product manager at Vodacom.
He holds a PhD in financial services strategy from Wits, an MBA with a strategy focus and an MSc in information systems from LSE.
Graunt supervises student research at UCT Graduate School of Business. He is also an external examiner for the MBA programmes at Wits and UCT. Graunt is also a special advisor to the Canon Collins Trust Board of Trustees.
Graunt oversees some of our major research and awards projects such as the annual Top Private Banks and Wealth Managers and Top Securities Brokers.
