Who we work with

Development agencies and multilaterals

We work with international multilaterals and national development agencies to support them with research and programme support.

Examples of our work.

Investment and development.

We worked with the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) to research and publish a report examining the drivers of capital flows to emerging markets. This influential report had a considerable public impact and helped guide the strategy of the FCDO’s MOBILIST programme.

Infrastructure finance.

We worked with the World Bank and South African local and national government to comprehensively map sustainable finance sources to support investment in energy and related infrastructure by both public and private sectors. We accompanied this with a report, including recommendations for engagements with finance providers to improve availability.

GSS+ bonds framework.

We worked with the World Bank to develop a framework for green, social and sustainability-linked bonds for Rwanda, one of East Africa’s most exciting markets for financial innovation.

Pension funds and private equity.

We worked with FSD Africa for a study of pension funds in eight Southern African countries to assess the regulatory environment and capacity for private equity and debt investment. The report led to recommendations and a series of workshops with regulators and other market participants across the region.
