Krutham MD Peter Attard Montalto joins 702’s The Money Show with Stephen Grootes to discuss President Ramaphosa’s decision to overrule the revised Eskom unbundling plan in his state of the nation address.

“What we’re seeing here is a reassertion of existing government policy. The President has talked before about the need for independence. It has long been the stated policy of Operation Vulindlela and National Treasury. So he is simply restating government policy. The question, of course, is what happened in December and why. But I think this was a very important moment for clarity for creditors who were becoming increasingly confused by mixed messages in the last few weeks between different entities,” says Peter Attard Montalto.
