Johannesburg, 4 August 2025 – Krutham is pleased to welcome Lameez Omarjee as a senior analyst specialising in infrastructure and the just energy transition (JET). She will report to Krutham’s infrastructure and JET research manager, Matthew le Cordeur.

Lameez joins from News24, where she led the newsroom’s climate desk and built a strong reputation for making science and infrastructure news accessible. She is known for uncovering and breaking important stories in this space.

Lameez will support Krutham’s JET and infrastructure practice delivering real-time analysis, tailored research and strategic advice on South Africa’s infrastructure and JET landscape. Krutham works with a broad range of private and public, onshore and offshore, financial and corporate clients. The team:

• Publishes monthly research for organisations with strategic interests in infrastructure and the just transition, tracking political, regulatory and market shifts
• Develops bespoke reports and flagship publications that position clients as thought leaders
• Provides market intelligence, due diligence and advisory support to established players and new market entrants, navigating licensing, wheeling, unbundling and broader reform in the country’s  energy and infrastructure sectors

Lameez brings deep expertise and a sharp ability to get to the heart of complex issues. At Krutham, she will help clients navigate energy, logistics and infrastructure reforms, develop transition strategies and assess risk and opportunity in complex regulatory and market environments.
